Alexandria Consulting Team (ACT) LLC is a women-owned management consulting company established in 2004 by three international business and development experts from the United States and Canada. ACT LLC focuses on four main practice areas: 1) private sector development, 2) trade and investment facilitation, 3) small and medium size business development and 4) business and social entrepreneurship. ACT specialties include project design and management; strategic and business planning; monitoring and evaluation; training design and delivery; women in business initiatives; event management; and public private partnerships. ACT Team members have worked in 48 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
The founding partners of ACT have over 85 years of combined professional experience working on domestic and international development projects. By combining their geographical and technical expertise and passion for achieving sustainable results, the partners founded ACT to make economic development projects more innovative and effective. Designed, implemented and assessed 129 enterprise-level technical assistance projects for a USAID small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) program in Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Developed and conducted a public health project intended to eliminate a tropical disease in Kenya, in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO).
Designed and managed a three year USAID trade program in six countries of Eastern Europe: Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania and Serbia.
Strategic & Business Planning
Provided strategic planning, policy development, facilities expansion and financial management services to educational organizations in the Middle East.
Advised US government agency staff in project management planning, assisting them in developing a system for tracking and evaluating field projects and sharing best practices.
Developed an international business expansion plan for a social enterprise that brings offline streaming and digital content to people without access to the Internet in Africa and Asia.

Conducted external evaluations of micro and small lending programs in the Caucasus: Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Monitored parliamentary and local elections in Eastern Europe. Reported election law violations through on-the-scene observations.
Training Design & Delivery
Developed and conducted customer service training courses for businesses, nonprofits and universities in the Middle East.
Led the design process for developing a consulting skills course for business development service providers in Mali.
Taught English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in Cambodia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Senegal, and the United Arab Emirates.

Launched and expanded an initiative that supports the professional advancement of women into leadership positions in the Middle East.
Supported the establishment of local, regional and national women's business associations in Russia, which spurred changes in legislation that removed barriers to women in business.
Led a trainer capacity building project to boost the entrepreneurial skills of women in Jordan.
